One of the most common questions people ask is, “How long does it take to see results with myofascial release?”
The short answer: it depends. But for most people, they will start seeing some changes within about 6 sessions.
The first few sessions: laying the groundwork
In the first one to three sessions, we’ll focus on addressing the superficial layers of tension and restrictions. The outer layers need to be released before we can get to the deeper or chronic patterns. Think of it like peeling back the layers of an onion. This phase is essential for creating more awareness in your body and removing the top layer of armor that most of us carry daily.
Going Deeper: sessions four through six
As we work through sessions four to six, we’ll start to get into those deeper layers, where the true source of your pain or tension may reside. It’s here that we can begin to address the underlying issues that have been impacting your well-being, leading to long-lasting relief.
By sessions four to six, we often start accessing the deeper fascial restrictions and the places where long-held tension, trauma, or pain is stored. This is where we begin to address the root cause of your symptoms, which can lead to longer-lasting relief.
Many clients begin to notice:
Pain is happening less frequently
Less tension returning between sessions
A general feeling of ease or spaciousness in the body
For deep, lasting changes, most people benefit from ongoing treatment over 6 to 12 months. That may sound like a lot, but when pain has built up over the years, it is not a quick fix.
The clients who experience the biggest transformations are those who stick with it and trust the process.
What progress looks like:
You're not in constant pain anymore
You bounce back faster when tension shows up
Your energy improves, and you move more freely
Even your loved ones notice a difference
Eventually, you’ll move into a maintenance phase where you’re not chasing pain but can come in for a tune-up!
My goal is always to help you feel empowered and confident in your healing. You don’t have to live in pain forever, and you don’t have to do it alone.
